William Silver, D.O.

Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship - Class of 2023

Dr. Silver graduated from the child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship program at UF Health Jacksonville in 2023. He also served as Co-Chief Fellow. He went on to complete his Advanced Specialty Training Program in Developmental Neuropsychiatry at Kennedy Krieger Institute in 2024.

Laren Alexander, M.D.

Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship - Class of 2023

Dr. Alexander completed both general psychiatry residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at UF Health Jacksonville. During her last year of fellowship, she served as Co-Chief Fellow. She was a recipient of the Fellow of the Year award and the Rosilie O. Saffos Award for Outstanding Resident Teacher of the Year. She is now an Assistant Professor at the UF College of Medicine - Jacksonville and works in the outpatient setting at the UF Health Psychiatry - San Jose clinic.

Andrew Rucker, D.O.

Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship - Class of 2022

Dr. Rucker completed his Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at UF Health Jacksonville in 2022. He was awarded fellow of the year and served as chief fellow. He went on to work at Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL as an inpatient and consult child and adolescent psychiatrist where he continues to be involved with the fellowship. Dr. Rucker graduated from Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Cumberland Gap, TN in 2017 and residency from University of Central Florida College of Medicine - Orlando, FL in 2020.

Michaela L. Denison, M.D.

Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship - Class of 2021

Dr. Denison graduated from combined general residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship in 2021 at UF Health Jacksonville. She is now an Assistant Professor and Associate Program Director for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship. She has a special interest in youth suicide prevention as well as training pediatricians on mental health through a collaborative care program at UF Health Jacksonville. She graduated from St. George’s University School of Medicine in 2016.

Britney Galantino, M.D.

Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship - Class of 2021

Dr. Galantino completed her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at UF Health in 2021. She currently serves as the Director of Behavioral Health at LoCicero Medical Group in Tampa, Florida. She also serves as faculty at Lakeland Regional Health, training psychiatry residents and medical students. Dr. Galantino provides adult and pediatric evaluations and medication management in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

Aylin Emmert, M.D.

Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship - Class of 2020

During Child and Adolescent Psychiatry training Dr. Aylin Emmert distinguished herself by developing psychodynamic psychotherapy and play therapy electives. She strengthened UF Health through her dedicated service provision, physician education and research. Dr. Emmert’s advocated for LGBTIA youth and their families with changes in our documentation processes, through local presentations and nationally in collaboration with AACAP’s Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity Issues Committee. Dr. Emmert was awarded the AACAP Resident Scholar Fellowship and served as Chief Resident in her final year of training. In her current role as Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with Baptist Behavioral Health, Jacksonville. Fl, she provides pediatric psychiatry evaluations, psychotherapy and medication management to children, adolescents, and families with a focus on the LGBTQIA community.

Victor Santos, M.D.

Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship - Class of 2020

During Child and Adolescent Psychiatry training Dr. Victor Santos distinguished himself through outstanding child and adolescent psychiatry service provision receiving excellent commendations from clients. He additionally demonstrated dedication to medical systems improvement; Dr. Santos analyzed and strengthened our service delivery model at UF Health Psychiatry through innovative changes. He served as Chief Resident and was awarded the 2020 Robert L. Wear Outstanding Resident Award in Quality and Patient Safety and Fellow of the Year Award for the year 2020. In his current role as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Psychiatrist at Desai Health, Jacksonville. Fl, Dr. Santos provides pediatric psychiatry evaluations and medication management to children, adolescents, and families.
