Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Welcome to the division of child and adolescent psychiatry, part of the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville department of psychiatry. Our child and adolescent faculty specialize in comprehensive mental health care services. They have extensive experience in diagnosing, managing and treating mental health conditions, such as ADHD, anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder.

Psychiatrists and psychologists in the division bring together innovative psychiatric care, educational programs and research to improve the lives of children and adolescents with mental illness. They use evidence-based methods, individualized treatment plans and a strong focus on prevention to help make positive changes in their patients’ lives.

Patient Care

Our University of Florida faculty psychiatrists and psychologists in the division of child and adolescent psychiatry includes board certified child and adolescent psychiatrists, psychologists and licensed psychotherapists, providing evidence-based treatment. They provide patient care services at UF Health Psychiatry – Jacksonville on UF Health Jacksonville's 110-acre Downtown campus, as well as at UF Health Psychiatry – San Jose on Jacksonville's Southside.

Education

In addition to providing compassionate patient care, faculty of the division are active in training the next generation of psychiatrists in the department's ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship programs.
