Clinical Research Details The Lock Bag Program at UF Health Jacksonville: Reducing Youth Overdose Deaths Study Description The mission is to reduce youth intentional and accidental overdose deaths. From 2019-2020, the rates of youth overdose deaths increased by 94%. UF patients will receive lock bags to secure potentially lethal medications and lethal means safety counseling. Pre and post anonymous surveys will review safety practices in the home and youth overdose rates. The rates of youth overdose deaths in the county will be tracked longitudinally. Inclusion/Exclusion Criteria Inclusion: Any adult caregiver with a minor child living or visiting the home.
