About Laura E Hume

Laura Hume, PhD, completed her PhD at Florida State University, her internship at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, including work with St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, and her postdoctoral training at Emory University.

Dr. Hume has extensive training and experience as a clinical psychologist, completing in-depth psychological assessments and utilizing evidence-based psychotherapy across the age span.

Dr. Hume has expertise in evaluating neurodevelopmental disorders and treating children and families, and her research has focused on early literacy, socio-emotional skills development, and effective ways of identifying mental health treatment needs.
